Bill has been working with dogs for many years. He trained and handled his first dog Dutch in Search and Rescue. Bill started training in Schutzhund about 8 years ago. His current dog, Bullet, is a 7 year old GSD - they achieved their SchH3 this past spring 2007. Bullet is also trained in drug detection. Bill is a USA Certified Helper.

I have been involved in Schutzhund seriously for the better part of 4 years. Prior to and during my involvement in Schutzhund, my GSD’s were involved in another working capacity, Herding. Prior to working dogs in herding I trained and titled a mixed breed in Agility. Both of my dogs have the German herding title of HGH (Herding Utility Dog) a combined 5 times. Elexa “Lexie” achieved this title at the very young age of 18 months old. Ike is one of the few GSD’s that is Handler Owner Trained in the U.S. that has both the HGH and a SchH3 title. Ike is in semi retirement from Schutzhund to concentrate on Elexa. Elexa is just up and coming in the world of Schutzhund, so look for her out there on the trial field in the future.

I have been in the sport of Schutzhund since 2000. My first dog, Beowolf, I trained to a SchH3. I am currently training my second dog, Greif. He's a lot of fun to work and a little pistol. One thing he has taught me is there is always something new to learn in training. We received a qualifying score for our first National event and are working on preparing to show at the USA Nationals this season.

Kyle started training in schutzhund with a training group in Newark NJ. His first dog was a Cane Corso named Hunter. His next dog was a GSD named Blair vom Jagerhaus, BH, Certified Patrol Canine. Kyle has been doing helper work since 2000. His goals are to train his current dogs, Kylie and Bondo, to a SchH3 and to breed working line German Shepherds.

David began training in Schutzhund in 1989 with the Greater Philadelphia Schutzhund Club He has trained multiple dogs in Schutzhund and competed twice at the North American National Championships. David has also been a track layer at multiple national events and at the WUSV World Competition held in Boston. In addition he has trained dogs for TV and movies. David is a member of USA and American Working Malinois Association.

I am currently working Berta toward a SchH3 and her daughter Elka toward a SchH1.
Berta came to the sport of Schutzhund late in life after a successful career in HGH sheep herding. She got her SchH1 title at the age of seven. Two of her other pups have their HGH titles earned at the very young age of 18 months, and they are both training toward a SchH1 at UBSC at this time as well.

While I am new to the sport of Schutzhund, I started training dogs 20+ years ago in AKC obedience. My interests expanded to Herding when I found out my dog Ace had the instinct for tending sheep. I have trained three dogs that attained the SV, HGH (Herding Utility Dog) Herding title & two that have AKC Herding Excellent titles. My current dog Eian earned the HGH Herding title twice at the young age of 18 months. It is as a result of doing the Protection Test for the HGH trials that my interests have now expanded to the sport of Schutzhund.

Ernest started training dogs with his Rottweiler, Rock doing obedience and protection work. He is currently training Troy toward his Schutzhund titles, with the intention of getting to the SchH3 level. Ernest began to train as a helper with Ruben McCoy and is actively continuing to learn helper work with our club. His long term goal is to train a dog to the National level.

I've owned Dobermans my whole life since I was 13 years old, but none like this crazy dog!!! I enjoy biking, training and staying active with my dog. I joined this club to understand and get better control of my current dog's social behavior. Hopefully someday we'll be able to compete in the sport.
